Former FBI Director James Comey said in an exclusive interview earlier this year that he had been living his “best life” since President Donald Trump fired him during his first term. In the May interview for a forthcoming episode of a CNN Original Series about the relationship between FBI directors and US presidents, Comey said he thought he was “the relationship that Trump can’t get over,” and joked that he believed the president wakes up in the middle of the night thinking about him “and how I’m living my best life.”
